| The only half roadworthy vehicle available to us was the rusted old VW Kombi Bus that had been moulding in the backyard for months. |
Peter did a 'Magyver' repair job on the old Bus and soon had it running again, ...more or less.

The Kalahari Gemsbok National Park with it's red dune landscape is home to the prince of the antelope, the gemsbok or oryx as it is also known.
The Kalahari Gemsbok National Park is a desert wilderness and it's wildlife is free to cross the demarcations of the national borders in mass migrations.
It covers more than 36 000 km sq, in the Nothern Cape and Botswana.

| Having beeing able to see a little part of this section of the country as well, we slowly trundled home with a view of returning here someday. |
We passed a few colourful little towns, overnighted by what seemed a odd place for dunes to be and visited an sheep and arabian horse stud farm.
